Adult bed bugs are a flattened, oval shaped insects. They are reddish-brown in color and practically wingless. Bed bugs feed primarily on the blood of humans but have been known to use their skin piercing, blood sucking mouths to feast on other warm blooded animals.
The most common bed bugs are nocturnal by nature, feeding at night on unsuspecting victims while they sleep. Bed bugs migrate to hide out of sight by day. Their movements make the multifunctional BUG OUTLAW'S design an easy way to catch bed bugs coming & going.
BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER:
Known as the "brown spider" or most commonly the "fiddle back" (due to it's distinguishing dark fiddle shaped marking set just behind it's 3 sets of eyes), is a secretive, soft bodied spider that varies in color from yellowish tan to dark brown.
Fiddle backs spiders are frequently seen in bedrooms, closets, garages, basements, cellars, attics, and under furniture.
Most fiddle back to human bites occur when a person surprises the spider in it's hiding place like clothing or a pair of shoes that haven't been worn lately. These spiders are excellent climbers, so bites have also been reported to have happened in beds under the sheets or when a person has rolled on top of the spider, unaware while sleeping.
An interceptive device like the BUG OUTLAW can allow you to sleep better knowing you and your loved one are protected.
Belonging to the Arachnid class (along with spiders, ticks, & mites), scorpions have a distinct elongated abdomen which end with a stinger. They have eight legs and a pair of front pinchers.
Although painful, most scorpion stings are non lethal. Scorpions are nocturnal, moving throughout the night and hiding under rocks or in holes during the day. They are very good climbers, which is why they end up on your bed or worse under your sheets. The BUG OUTLAW'S unique cover creates an attractive, dark place for scorpions to hide, while the adhesive traps them, giving you a better nights sleep.
Bed bugs are adept at becoming resistant to pesticides.*
Bed bugs can live 3-5 months without a blood meal.*
No two bed bug populations are identical in their susceptibility to pesticides.*
Studies have shown 93-99% of bed bugs found by visual inspections are located on furniture.**
Other studies have shown that well placed interceptive devices, like the Bug Outlaw, help significantly in the prevention and reduction of bed bugs.**
